It's been a long time!

"I hadn't seen Joey Diaz in over 20 years, and wow, she just keeps getting better! Does this woman ever age? She looks and sounds fabulous. I really enjoyed the opening by Mavis Staples, too. "I'll Take You There," brought me back to some good times. That was one thing I wish Joey had done - taken me back a bit more. I was hoping for "Women Be Wise," or "Love Me Like A Man," but they never came. Slipstream is a wonderful CD however, and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the songs she performed from this newest work. She is a legend. And I was happy she threw in "Angel From Montgomery," and lots of slide guitar and blues! Perfect weather and the beautiful setting of Chateau Ste. Michelle, made it all the more special. Also, Chateau Ste. Michelle could work on getting traffic out of the parking lot faster."
